One in four of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year, around 16 million people in the UK. Hundreds of thousands of people are struggling to get the support they need, unable to access the services that could change their life. Mental health problems are indiscriminate. They can affect anyone, at any time: members of your family, your friends, your colleagues.

We're Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. We're here to make sure that anyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.

We believe no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. When you're experiencing a mental health problem, supportive and reliable information can change your life. That's what we do. We empower people to understand their condition and the choices available to them through our Infoline, Legal Advice Service, and our award-winning publications and website.

Last year our helplines supported 65,000 people in need of advice and support and 10.7 million people visited the information pages of our website. Our network of 146 local Mind's supported 375,000 people last year through services such as drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, and counselling.

Here is what one of our supporters had to say about Mind:

"Mind brought me back from the edge. Without them, I don't know how I would've found a way out. They helped me change the course of my life."

We campaign for anyone living with a mental health problem to have access to excellent services and be treated fairly and with respect. We work with employers across a range of sectors to help them create mentally healthy workplaces.

You can support Mind by raising awareness, taking part in a challenge event such as the Royal Parks Half Marathon, or organising your own bake sales, book swaps or film nights.

With the help of Incisive Media and the Incisive Foundation, we can make sure that anyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
